Description: Russell lupin (Lupinus polyphyllus) is an exotic plant. Although Russell lupins are beautiful to look at, they are an aggressive weed. Of
particular concern is the invasion of Russell lupins into South Island's braided riverbeds, and the impacts they have on these ecosystems.
Unfortunately many New Zealanders are unconcerned about its impact on the environment.
